The Living Word of Allah
The Qur’an is the word of Allah, the One who always lives and never dies. It was sent to help and guide people forever. No other book is like it. When you read the Qur’an, it’s like Allah is talking to you. You are listening to Him, speaking with Him, and following His path. It is your life meeting the One who gave you life.
Allah says:
“God – there is no god but Him, the Ever-living, the One who takes care of all. He has sent down the Book with truth… as a guide for all people.” (Surah Al ‘Imran 3: 2–3)
When people first heard the Qur’an from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), they knew for sure that Allah was talking to them. Their hearts and minds were touched deeply. Their eyes filled with tears. Their bodies shook. They felt the Qur’an was speaking to their lives. They followed it in everything they did. The Qur’an changed them completely. People who once looked after sheep and camels became leaders of the world.
Today, we still have the same Qur’an. Millions of copies are printed and read every day. We hear it in homes, mosques, and from speakers. Many people write books about it and explain it. But still, many people do not feel moved by it. Their eyes stay dry, hearts feel nothing, and lives do not change. Many Muslims are living in sadness and trouble. Why? Because we don’t treat the Qur’an as something alive and real in our lives anymore. We see it as a holy book, but only about people from long ago – Muslims, non-Muslims, Jews, Christians, and hypocrites from the past.
But can the Qur’an still guide us today, just like it did 1,400 years ago? That is the most important question we need to answer if we want to follow the Qur’an again.
Some people think this is hard. The Qur’an was sent long ago, and since then, the world has changed a lot. We have new technology, different societies, and many Muslims today do not understand Arabic. Even those who do may not understand the special way the Qur’an speaks. That’s why it’s important to try and learn its deeper meanings.
But the Qur’an says it is always true and always useful, for everyone and for all times, because it comes from the Eternal God.
If this is true, then we should still be able to understand and feel the Qur’an like the first people did. Maybe not in the same way, but still enough to feel its message, joy, and light. Even though it came in Arabic a long time ago, we should still be able to let it guide our lives today.
How Can We Do That?
First, we must know what the Qur’an really is – the word of Allah – and feel love, respect, and the desire to follow it.
Second, we must read it the way it asks us to read it, the way the Prophet and his followers did.
Third, we must connect every verse of the Qur’an to our own lives, no matter how much the world has changed.
When the Qur’an was first sent, it was part of daily life. People heard it in their own language, with examples they understood. They lived during the time it was being revealed. They were part of its story. We were not there, but we can still try to make the Qur’an feel alive and important in our lives too.
If we understand it and live by it, the Qur’an can be a real part of our world today, just like it was back then. People are still people – our hearts, feelings, and needs haven’t changed. Only the tools and styles have. The people of Makkah and Madinah may be gone, but people like them are still around. We are humans, just like the first Muslims were.
When we believe this and live it, the Qur’an can start changing us, just like it changed them. It won’t just be a book we keep safe and respect – it will be a powerful guide that helps us grow, succeed, and live the best life.
The New World That Awaits You
When you come to the Qur’an, you step into a new world. Nothing else in your life can be more important or more rewarding than your journey with the Qur’an.
It is a journey full of joy and wisdom. It is filled with beautiful words from your Creator, sent to you and to all people. In it, you’ll find great knowledge and advice that will help you live a better life. It will shape your thoughts and actions in the best way. It will give your soul light and peace. It will touch your heart, make you feel deeply, and maybe even bring tears to your eyes.
This journey is very important, because as you go through the Qur’an, you will be asked to make choices and say “yes” to Allah. Reading the Qur’an means living it – with your heart, your words, and your actions. Your whole life depends on how you answer Allah’s call. This journey can change your life, and even help change the world.
There are hundreds of new worlds hidden in its verses. Whole centuries pass in just moments inside the Qur’an.
